Solution
Let’s call the price of these two aeroplanes A and B respectively. Let’s say he makes a loss on A and a profit on B.
This means A = 600/(0.8) = 750 and B = 600/(1.2) = 500.
Now the cost is 1250 and the revenue is 1200, so he made a loss of £50 as a result.
And that’s our answer. How amazing :)
